Reviewing the tape-Buckeyes cruise over Indiana

The Ohio State visit to Indiana was a hyped one-In Indiana that is.
The Hoosiers were fired up over their near miss at Ann Arbor against Michigan and expected a program defining win against the Buckeyes.
That didn't happen as OSU cruised to a 33-14 win that wasn't even that close.
Ohio State hosts Wisconsin in Wisconsin Week here at the World Headquarters and that is always fun!

Buckeye Leaves

1) Not going to get too in depth this week as I missed the fourth quarter to go to work and only scanned the tape afterwards, but you want dominance?
Ohio State would have scored on all six of its first half possessions had Aaron Pettrey not missed two makeable field goals...

2) Pettrey is beginning to remind me of old time straight on kickers.
In the pre-soccer style age, guys like Tom Dempsey were accurate on long distance kicks and yet misfired on short range boots.
Pettrey has become similar in that way.

3) Terrelle Pryor threw for three touchdowns and rushed for another in the win.
Pryor seems to be able to use his dynamic athletic ability to its best use against the Indianas of the world, where his sheer physical skills are able to overcome the sometimes lacking passing game fundamentals that show up against the tougher schools.

4) The win was the 16th road conference win in a row for the Buckeyes and can tie the longest road winning streak in Big Ten history with a win in their next road game on the 17th at Purdue.

5) Brandon Saine started for the injured Boom Herron and rushed for 113 yards.
Saine adds the speed,if not the power that Herron lacks to the Buckeye lineup.

6) Liked the sportsmanship of freshman fullback Zach Boren after his first collegiate touchdown.
Boren ran the ball to the ref and celebrated on the way to the bench without the histrionics that so often occur after scores...

7) The defensive line took a hit with the loss of Dexter Larimore with a knee injury.
No word on the time Larimore will miss..

8) Anderson Russell started the season as a starter at safety, but found himself on the bench after allowing two long touchdowns against Navy in the opener.
Russell started in place of Kurt Coleman against Indiana and made a case for more playing time with an interception and fumble recovery in the rout.

9) Indiana passed for a TD on the games final play to trim the score.
I don't mind teams trying to score in games that have been decided,I just hate the "Steve Robinson" theory of dragging games out on defense in order to add a few more QB kneeldowns.

10) Wisconsin week is always a special week here.
Michigan is pure hatred and Penn State has a ring of nastiness to it because we are so close to the PA border and this area has loads of Lion fans, but Wisconsin comes down to one thing-braggin rights in the house for a year.
Ryan and I don't agree on our team of choice, but we do have the love of Big Ten football in common and all of that comes to a head when the Buckeyes and the Badgers go head to head.
That game is always a fun one to watch and I missed watching last years game with him as I was in Ohio during that one.
Looking forward to this Saturday-Go Bucks!

I will be skipping a reviewing the tape of the Seattle loss to the Colts as I missed it live and had little time to review the tape.
Also,I didn't forget the Devils loss to the Rangers.
The game was on Versus and I had to listen via XM to the game,Devils recaps return Friday after the Devils trip to Tampa.

Back tomorrow with reviewing the tape for the Browns loss to the Bengals.
