The PPM returns for another year and what a year it appears to be.
Between some teams playing (SEC, ACC, Big 12, American, Sun Belt, and Conference USA- minus Old Dominion) and others not ( Big Ten, Pac 12, MAC, and Mountain West) due to Covid-19 concerns, it's already going to be a unique season.
The disappointment of Ohio State not playing in a season that they were among the top favorites to win the national title is bad enough, but the various decisions also cost me watching Boise State as well, so this isn't the best college football season only considering that!
I am pondering covering either Houston or Texas Tech in place of the Buckeyes for this season, but that may depend on how many games I can watch from one team or the other.
We'll see how that goes.
I've also decided to maintain the one team per conference as part of the PPM with one of those teams playing today- Middle Tennessee State from Conference USA.
I may be adding an extra game of the week since the PPM has lost games with the teams that are not playing in the fall.
Finally, a word on this year's "Face of the PPM"- Lauren Thompson of the Golf Channel.
Known as "LT" to her fans and colleagues, Thompson is one of the hosts on the Golf Channel's popular morning show "Morning Drive" and also hosts "The Champion Within" on Saturday afternoon's for NBC Sports.
Before taking her current job with Golf Channel, Thompson worked for TNA wrestling as their interviewer during their programs on both television and pay per view for three years from 2007-2009.
Now onto a very light first Saturday of the season
Middle Tennessee State over Army 30-28
Game of the Week
Memphis over Arkansas State 40-33
