Gorzelanny cannot find the plate-Buccos blasted 9-1

Tom Gorzelanny made Ian Snell look razor sharp in comparison in being unable to complete an inning in a 9-1 pummeling at the hands of the Cincinnati Reds.
The lefty allowed six runs and four hits to go with a pair of walks and a wild pitch in his losing (4-5) two thirds of an inning night and basically looked like someone that either has lost all control or has an injury that has not been disclosed and he is trying to pitch through it.
If that is the case,I applaud Gorzo's heart and toughness but question the intelligence of such a move.
There can be no reasons for why a promising young pitcher has completely lost it in such a short period of time.
I would send Gorzelanny back to Pittsburgh and start checking his shoulder, arm and elbow for any possible explanation for his poor season.
The finishing blow was a two run homer by former Pirate David Ross.
The Ross homer was his first since last September!
The only Pirate RBI went to Francisco Osoria (?) on a second inning infield single.
The series concludes Thursday.

Pitching Matchup
Pittsburgh:Phil Dumatrait (1-2 4.o5 ERA) at Cincinnati:Aaron Harang (2-6 3.32 ERA) 7:10

Bullpen Notes

Not sure if I will post on Thursday or not as I will be in Allentown Pa to see the Pirates AAA franchise, the Indianapolis Indians play against the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs.
Coverage when I have time.

Phil Dumatrait was moved up a day in the rotation to give Zach Duke an extra day to rest a callous on his pitching hand.
Duke will start Friday in St.Louis.

The Delmarva Shorebirds hammered 11 hits to score 7 runs off prospect Bradley Meyers in just 2 innings to cruise to a 9-3 win over the Hagerstown Suns.
Ryan Adams and Tyler Henson each finished with 4 hits and Joe Nowicki smashed a LONG homer to right field for the Shorebirds.

ESPN radio fired Mark Madden for his tasteless comments on the illness of Senator Ted Kennedy.
The comments were out of line and I would not question giving Madden the axe for them, but this is the same network that allowed Dana Jacobsen to keep her job for even worse comments about Jesus!.
I am not really a man of the cloth, but shouldn't Jesus Christ at least be on the same level on Ted Kennedy?????
Horrible comments about the son of God?Suspension.
Poor taste comments on Teddy Kennedy? You are fired.

Until next time
