Sweeping up-Misc.Edition

A few more bits of cleanup,so that all is caught up before tonight.

This is the oldest thing still in the inbox as Bob Frantz of Cleveland's WTAM sends an open letter to LeBron James on his leaving the Cavaliers.
Not as topical as it once was,but worth the read and challenges some of James recent statements in his GQ magazine article...

Speaking of the Cavaliers, full credit must be given to Dan Gilbert and the team for FINALLY listening to the fans and giving Cleveland fans what they have begged for since the early 80's-the wine and gold back in Northeast Ohio in just the manner that the uniforms should look like.
Not that horrid mess of the late 90's and better than Gilbert's first attempt of "A new expression of wine and gold",the new uniforms are exactly the way they should look.
Great job,now let's get to work on returning the original logo to its deserved status.

Jesse Lamovsky compares the once mighty Oklahoma-Nebraska rivalry to Ohio State-michigan and how things can happen with rivalries and traditions once things are tweaked.
I think the Big Ten did the best they could since they wanted the teams in opposing divisions, but I still think the same division for the pair would have been the better way to go.

I remember those Sooner-Husker games very well.
As a child,Oklahoma and the vaunted wishbone ranked second only to the Buckeyes among my favorites and those games were fun to watch, especially if you love the running game and the option as much as I do!

Looks like Burger King is going to a new owner as 3G Capital is buying the King for 3.26 billion.
Reading the article looks at the problems at BK and what is hurting them in their battle against McDonalds.
I'll take BK over the clowns every time, but what I wouldn't give for a Burger Chef revival!

Finally, long time Pittsburgh zoo icon,Rocky the Bear passed on at the age of 28.
Rocky had been a zoo staple since he was just a year old..
