Passin on Palin

Sorry,if I don't buy into the Sarah Palin mania that seems to be overwhelming the media.
and even more so about her being slandered by a statement that was not meant for her and that the person at the head of her ticket has uttered on several occasions.......

The Democratic operatives are concerned about the shrinking poll lead that Barack Obama holds and according to Gallup,has lost.
Politico has Obama holding a razor thin edge in the Electoral College at 273-265.
As little as I think of Sarah Palin and her compadres' of the Religious Right and as highly as I think of Joe Biden,I have grave concerns on the results of this election.
I am not a huge Barack Obama fan and I really have little against John McCain,except that he will continue the ineffective policies of George Bush,but Obama won my vote when McCain picked Palin for VP.
Not for the reason that some would give against women being in that position of power.
I have no problem with that at all.
My problem is that Sarah Palin makes Dan Quayle look like Abraham Lincoln as far as experience and seems to be to the extreme right in her views.
A smart move politically for the GOP as they have made a race where there should not be,but governing could be a far different story........

This election should be about people struggling to find work,hard working people losing their homes,once thriving towns turning into ghost towns,jobs going overseas,oil companies getting rich while families cannot afford to drive to work and the list goes on.

Don't expect the "Liberal media" to do your work for you either.
Sarah Palin is a good story.
Why so? Because she is a easy story.
The media loves the easy story.
It takes very little digging or work to do the five kids angle,loves to hunt moose,fishes for salmon,
"Sarah Barracuda" playing hoops etc......
Those stories are easy.
Campaigns GIVE them to you and writing fluff pieces increases access to the candidate.
Plus,the average (or below average) person eats that stuff alive,more of those stories are read by the average person that will ever read about her not turning down the "Bridge to Nowhere" until it became popular to do so.
Few will read about about Sarah Palin not returning the "bridge" money to Washington,but instead putting the money into another part of the Alaskan budget,but many will read about gutting a moose in the winter or her fierce play on the court.
See why they are loved so much?
Wider read and easier to do.
Pretty tough to beat that!

Every second that is spent on Sarah Palin's grandchild,every second that is spent on "Lipstick on a pig" etc is time spent away from pointing out the disastrous policies of the next eight years.
This party needs to get aggressive on those issues and quit playing on the Republican home field!
Lets get them where they can offer nothing in rebuttal-ideas,plans,ways to turn this country around!
Hit McCain/Palin where they are vulnerable,the GOP's lack of success over the last eight years and their stunning absence of vision for the next four years and hit them hard.
And that means going after Palin in the debates too (this means YOU Joe Biden!),treat her the way that she should be treated-as a Vice Presidential candidate that has radical right ideals and happens to be a woman as well!
No tap dancing!
And to Barack Obama,many (including me) think that you don't come off as the toughest guy on the block,do the same against McCain.
After all,if you cannot face down a 72 year old man in a free election,you cannot expect voters to be confident in you dealing with other hard line countries.
Leave the Democratic soft servers where they belong-in the past with Carter,Mondale,Dukakis,Kerry etc!

To use a line that the carefully rehearsed Palin has used quite often in her stump recitals,
McCain/Palin.....
