Devils snap losing streak 3-1 over Wild

Cory Schneider made some spectacular saves and the New Jersey Devils snapped a four game losing streak with a 3-1 win over the Minnesota Wild at the Rock in Newark.
Schneider made 23 saves, but some of them were downright spectacular in saving the game.
Devils goals to Mike Cammalleri (6).Tuomo Ruutu (3) and Travis Zajac (3 Power Play,Empty Net)
The Devils now get two days off before traveling to Washington Friday night...

Hell Raisers

1) Best game of the year for Cory Schneider after some less than good outings.
Many fans (me included) were starting to call for Keith Kincaid to get a start and I still think that's a valid judgement.
However, after such a good start, maybe now would be a nice time to get Kincaid some work as Schneider can watch after a super outing and perhaps not feel like he is missing a start as a punishment.

2) Schneider made several terrific saves including one on a 2 on 0 Minnesota breakaway, but he gave away the only goal and that kept the Wild in the game.
Schneider wandered from the crease and attempted to clear the puck.
Sadly,he didn't get a ton on the clear and former Devil Ryan Carter fired into the mostly empty net...

3) Seth Helgeson was called up from Albany to replace Bryce Salvador, who had an undisclosed injury.
Helgeson assisted on the Tuomo Ruutu goal, but the Salvador injury was interesting to me.
Could this be the beginning of a Salvador slide?
We'll see,but it wouldn't be the first time a player was saved by bad play with an "injury"

4) I thought Adam Larsson played well tonight.
Larsson showed some toughness and aggressiveness in this game and just might be coming along...

5) Liked the play of the Jacob Josefson,Tuomo Ruutu and Steve Bernier line tonight, especially Josefson, who has picked up his play of late,...

6) Mike Cammalleri scored a goal, but hit a post and a crossbar,so this could have been a hat trick night.
Cammalleri is in the zone offensively right now and those things come and go,but he just might be in for quite a year if he can stay healthy....
