Bucs lose yesterday and today-Snell mortal after all

The Pirates lost both the conclusion of last night's suspended game 8-6 and the regularly scheduled game 7-1 today.
The Cubs scored a run in each inning of the suspended game off Way Back Wasdin and scored one themselves in the 9th inning as Nate McClouth drew a walk and scored on a Chris Duffy double to make the final 8-6.

Ian Snell proved to be mortal today as he had control trouble for most of the game.
Snell only allowed 4 hits in his 5 innings of work, one being a Home Run to the suddenly hot Alfonso Soriano.
But he walked 4 and struggled with his command all during his outing.
Jonah Bayliss had his 2nd bad outing in a row today as he allowed 3 runs without retiring a batter.
Looks like I jinxed Bayliss with compliments!
Jason Marquis looks like he has really turned things around for himself.
I thought the Cubs paid too much and though it has only been a month into his contract-thus far he has been well worth the price.
Ryan Doumit smacked another Homer today as he played right field for the injured Xavier Nady.
The solo shot produced the only Pirate run.
Once Nady returns to the lineup,Jim Tracy has a decision to make behind the plate-Doumit or Ronny Paulino.
I am sure we can figure out who wins that battle in Tracy's eyes and I am also sure that I will disagree with his call.
Clearly this team needs offense and Ryan Doumit fits that need much more than Ronny Paulino.
The Buccos go on the road to Miller Park to battle the Milwaukee Brewers tomorrow for a four game series.
First Pitch 8;05, Tom Gorzelanny vs David Bush.

Back later with Devils-Senators Game 4,today's Hagerstown Suns win over the West Virginia Power in a "Businessman's special", and more on "towelgate" as well.
