Snell great again!

For the third straight start,Ian Snell was terrific.
This time though the Pirates scraped together enough runs and held off a possible implosion by the bullpen late to give Snell his 1st win of the year 3-2.
Snell went 7 innings, giving up only 1 run and 3 hits to the Cardinals.
Snell also struck out 6,but walked 4.
I cannot say enough about Snell thus far this season.I know its only 3 starts, but simply terrific.
The Pirates scored all 3 runs in the first inning on a Jason Bay walk and a 2 run single by
Xavier Nady.
Salomon Torres tried his best to blow the game, loading the bases with 2 out before getting Albert Pujols to pop up to end the game.
Not very often,do you see that matchup go the Bucs way!!
The Pirates end this mini-series in St.Louis today at 1;10.
Tom Gorzelanny for the Buccos,Adam Wainwright for the Redbirds.
Gorzelanny looked really impressive last time out, here's hoping for another good outing!

Other Notes

Glad to see one of our two main Left Wingers, Keith Olbermann, added to the NBC football show.
Olbermann and Bob Costas are terrific.
Just get rid of Jerome "Flat tire" Bettis and new addition Tiki "I am above sports yet I'll take the paycheck" Barber and make it great!

Here is another article on Olbermann.
This gives the facts on why MSNBC re-signed him for 4 yrs and how he gains on BillO every day!

Baseball Doubleheader tomorrow.
Will see the Lynchburg Hillcats traveling to Frederick and in the evening-the Lake County Captains come here to battle the Suns.
Lots of info on those games to be posted ,I'm Sure.
