Wake me when its over-Blues shutout Devils 1-0

Vladimir Tarasenko scored on the power play in the third period to break a scoreless tie and give the St .Louis Blues a 1-0 win over the New Jersey Devils at the Rock in Newark.
Cory Schneider allowed the only goal and finished with 22 saves.
The Devils will have a rematch with the Blues in St.Louis Thursday night.

Hell Raisers

1) Frankly, this was one of the most boring hockey games that I've ever watched.
Not a ton of scoring opportunities for either team and just a dull game.
This was not one to give to flip a non-hockey fan....

2) On the game winning goal,Don't blame Cory Schneider-blame a usual whipping boy in Bryce Salvador.
Salvador put himself  in a position to not harass Vladimir Tarasenko, yet didn't give Schneider space to see the shot coming.
In other words,Salvador screened his own goalie.....

3) I really like Vladimir Tarasenko.
He is the type of young, offensive player that the Devils never seem to have and he seems to play with the kind of rage and desire that great players have.
Tarasenko attacks the puck, doesn't wait for it and I came away from this as quite a fan.

4) Jon Merrill was the young defenseman that was sat in this one,but this wasn't a Peter DeBoer decision.
Merrill had an injury, but no word on what it was or the length of time that he will miss...

5) Reid Boucher returned to Albany and Steve Bernier called back to the Devils.
I think that's a better call,
Bernier is much better suited to fourth line work and Boucher needs playing time on a top line...

6) Scott Clemmensen was placed on waivers and if he clears,he'll be the main goaltender in Albany.
I'd think that he should clear.
Keith Kinkaid was called up as the replacement for Clemmensen and makes me think that since Cory Schneider has played every game thus far that Kinkaid will play in one of the back to back games n Thursday in St.Louis or Friday in Detroit...

Will try to be back later with the Cavaliers loss in Portland.
