Devils fall in Game 2-Series tied at 1

The New Jersey Devils played an uninspired hockey game tonight and fell to the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference Quarter-Final series.
Devils goals went to Zach Parise and Jamie Langenbrunner, both on on the power play.
Tampa's goals were scored by Martin St.Louis (PP).Flip Kuba (Shorthanded) and the game winner to Vincent LeCavalier.
LeCavalier took a cheap shot at Brian Gionta with 18 seconds to go in the game with a chop to the back of the legs.
I would bet on Colin White shadowing LeCavalier early in
Game 3 or on a long shot-maybe a Cam Janssen appearance.
The Devils will need to pick up their play to win this series.
The Series continues Monday at 7;00 at the Gator Bowl in Tampa.

Watching this series, one thing shines out to me-The Devils need a puck moving, offensive defenseman in the worst way.
Brian Rafalski is a fine defensemen, but not top notch in the offensive zone and Paul Martin may be eventually, but is nowhere neat that yet.
Hopefully Lou can land us one of those guys in the off-season.

The Pirates were rained out tonight vs the Giants.
That was the closest thing to a win in PNC Park thus far this year.
Game is scheduled to made up tomorrow as part of a doubleheader, but looking at the forecast-I would not bet on getting those games played.
