Top 10 Cleveland Indians Prospects-Part 2

Here is part 2 of the top 10 Indians Prospects

6:Max Ramirez;C- I am far higher on Max that it seems most of the scouting press are.
I like his bat a LOT!,Most have Max as a below average defensive catcher, but the games I saw him in,I thought he performed quite for his limited time as a catcher.
My problem is Max is with his arm.
It is plenty strong enough, but needs a lot of work on accuracy.
Over the 3 games that I saw him last year with Lake County,he overthrew each base at times.
Steal attempts, pickoff attempts.did not matter-the ball flew into the outfield.
Max reminds me of Victor Martinez, which likely why the Tribe traded for him with Atlanta.
I hope they are patient with Ramirez as a catcher. The bat could be an impact one from behind the plate.
Max signed several cards for me last year.
He was fine with me,but may be tiring of the signing game already.
He only signed selected cards.
Ramirez is currently at High A Kinston

7;Brian Barton-OF-Barton has tools, but I am not as high on Barton as others are.
He is 24,which is older for a guy at AA,his 2006 numbers are great, but I would like to see a repeat of those numbers before getting too excited.
He hit very poorly vs lefties last year and was expected to make the jump to Buffalo.
But big and fast goes a long way,so I would not count him out yet either.
Instead he is back at AA Akron.
Wait and see a little more on Barton.

8;Brad Snyder-OF-Snyder has many of the same things going for him as Barton.
Very toolsy and an excellent 2006.Snyder walks a lot and strikes out a lot as well, both far more than Barton.Snyder turns 25 in May,so in the crowded Tribe outfield situation,he could be a trade candidate,if the Indians are in contention late.
Something about Snyder troubles me,even if I am not sure why.
Maybe its all the strikeouts or maybe it is the 30 yrs of watching highly touted Cleveland outfielders sputter out,I am not sure.
Snyder is currently at AAA Buffalo

9:Scott Lewis-SP- Lewis has been moved slowly since he returned from Tommy John surgery and thus far,the kid gloves treatment has paid off.
Lewis was on a strict pitch limt last year at Kinston and his numbers were awesome.
Does that project as a starter or reliever? We will see how he does as his pitch limit increases.
Scott has the best "drop" curve in the system and helps cover for his average fastball.
Lewis has a good change as well.
Not sure how to project his future role, but he should be a Indian down the road.

10;Wes Hodges-3b-Hodges was a projected 1st rounder in the 2006 draft, but had a injury filled senior season at Georgia Tech.Hodges fell to the 2nd round and the Indians were happy to nab him there. His total projection is on his college career as he signed a 2007 contract.
Keep a eye on Hodges as Cleveland moved him aggressively and the Indians are starting him at High A Kinston.

Honorable Mention;
Buffalo-Edward Mujica,Rafael Perez
Akron-J.D Martin,Aaron Laffey,Joe Ness,Michael Aubrey (Health issues),Jordan Brown and Ryan Goleski
Kinston-Sung-Wei Tseng,David Huff,Frank Herrmann,Stephen Head,Josh Rodriguez
Lake County-Neil Wagner,Stephen Wright,Josh Tomlin,Matt McBride,Carlos Rivero,Nick Weglarz.
